era
Subseribe Now!
JANUARY Ist, 1866
Commencement of Twelfth Volume
Mining and Srientific Press
Pabiished Every Satarday.
The title of our journal i iS a trathful éxpression
of its character.
It affords a class of progressive information to
the Miners, Mechanics and Professional Men of tbe
Pacific Coast, which cannot be derived from books,
or other publications.
Each Volume comprises, in. reality, a book of
new intelligence and facts relating to Mining,
Mechanism, Metallurgy, Science and Art, developed by our-rich and peculiar resources, and identical with our own industry ond history.
By the encouragement of intelligent economy
in LABOR and GoLD-sAVING, we shall make the
Press a source of INDIVIDUAL PROFIT to its patrons, as well as a public benefit to every local
community in which it circulates. .,
The prospects of our journal nre now brighter
than at any former period. Our facilities for fur-'
nishing a valuable paper are eonstantly inereasing.
Following are some of the many opinions generonsly expressed by our neighbors :
