The Mining and Scientific Press. 181 From the Stock Circular of Associated Brokers of the 8. F. Stock & Kixchange Board. Ee oe Saw Francisco, Sarunnar Monnixo, Sept. 22d, 1866. The Money Market siaco our last reference hus been characterized by rather mere ease in some quarters, and the deposit line in Bank shows a slight accumulation of nvailable funds. In the epen market, hewever, the same stringency prevailing for seme time past still eontinucs, and the demaad for fair eccnrities is very active at full ratcs—14@24 af” cent. per month, These quotations aro governed, in most instances, by the character of the collateral oflered. Miuing stocks are not in favor os n bnsis of loans, ond few or fio negotiations can be made upon this class of scenrities even ata wide range from current market value. ‘The depression of the Sharo Market for so lone atime has heen inno slight degree effected by the iaability of operators to obtain fncilitics in Bank or upon the strect. We quote Gold Bars nt previous figuree—S30@840. Silver Barn range from 14 ro 1} 4p cent. We learn of a choice lot selling at 13 ¢f centdisconnt. S. 7-30 Bonds, July issuc, sold at 75@764e. The Mining Shnre Market for tho past week exhibits no improvement from the elosing quotations of last week, and a reduced number of shares of the several companics have been dealt in. Ycllow Jacket attraeted tho most attention, the samo shnres repeatedly changing hands daring the varions sessions of tho Board. Several leading stocks bave been well maintained, and the depression sometimes apparent after the payment of dividends is now quite notieeablo. Ilale & Nereross coatinnes to be firmly held, and for sevcral weeks past no sales have transpired in the Board. At the close we quote it at $1,680 bid. The werk of sinking the shaft to a further depth of 100 feet, is being vigorously prosecuted, and is now down about 20 feet below the nintb station. Tho shipments of low grade ores, for the week ending September 12th, amonnted to 186 tons, the average assay being $50 4f ton; and of first-class ore for the fortnight ending September 15th, 37 tons at an average of about $350 ¢f” ton, making an ageregate yicld of $22,250.
