There is no deseription of machinery of so mueh importanee to tho mining interests of California, at the present time,as that for the separation of sulphurets. Many machines have been tried,
and ahandoned; and none seems to meet the requircment of the mining interest so well as that now
patented by Mr. Hungerford, which is au improvemeat on the well known Huagerford & Prator Coneentrator, with whieh his name is already so fumiliar.

Fig 2 is a section through the eenter of the pan,
showing how it operates in separating the sulphnrets,
as well as the great improvement to the pan, which
consists of the addition of a eirculur trongh outside
@ periphery.
A full description of the principle and mode of
action of this pan, is described in circulars, witich
will ba forwarded to any party who may desire
them.
