Inyeterate eases oI Scrofulous disease, where the system seemed saturated’ with corruption, ye been purificd and cnred by it. Scrofulons affections and disorders, which were agrayated by the scrofia a _ fous contamiuation until they were painfolly afilicting, hare been radically enred in such great numbers in almost every set: tion of the cowitry, that the public scarcely need to be informed of its virtiies or uses. Scrofulous poison is one of the most destructive enemies of our race. Often, this wuscen snd wnfelt tenaut of the organism undermines the constitution, and invites the attack of enlechling or fatal diseases, withont exciting a suspicion efits presence, Again it. seems to breed infection throughout ihe body, aud then, on come favorable occasion, rapidly develop into ouc or other of its hideous forms, cither on the surface or among the vitals. In the latter, tubercles may be suddenly deposited iu the lings or heart, or tumors formed in the Jiver, or it shows its presence by eruptions on the skin, or fonl nleerattons on some part of the body. Hence the oceasional nse of a bottle of this Sarsaparitia is advisable, even when no active symptoms of discase appear, Persons afilicted with the following compans generally find immediate relief, and, at length, cure, by tho use ol this SARSAPARILEA: St. Anthony's Fire, Rose or Erysipelas, Petter, Salt Rheum, Seald Head, Ringworm, Sore Eyes, Sore Lars, and other eruptions or visible iorms of Serofilows disease. so in the more concealed forms, as Dyspepsia, Drensy, Heart Disease, Fits, Epilepsy, Neuralgia, and the yarious U7eerovs affections of the utuscu-luy and nervons systems. Syphilis ov Fenereal and Bercurial Diseases are cured by it, thongh a longtimeis required for snbdning these obstinate maladies by any medicine. But long contimted nse of this medicine will cure the complaint. Zeucorriaca ov Whites, Uterine Uleerations, and Female Diseases, are commonly_s00n relieved and ultimately cured by its puritying and invigorating elect. “Minute Directions Tor cach case are found in our Almanac, supplied gratis. Rhewmatisne and Gout, wheu eauseil by accumulations ot extraneous matters in the blood, yield quickly to it, as also Liver Complaints, Lorpidity, Congestion or Laflanmation of the Liver, and dJaruedice, when arising, as they olten do, from the rankling poisons in tho blood. This S.iNStP.AnILLA is a great restorer for the strength and vigor of the system. Those who are Langiid anil Listless, Despordent, Sleepless, and troubled with Nervous Apprehensions or Fears, ov any of the affeetions symptomatic of Weahwess, will find immediate relief and convincing evideuce of its restorative power upon trial. Felton, Joseph Aron, Wm, H, Sharp, Henry Barroilhet, THE SUTRO TUNNEL COMPANY. Rights rad Privileges. The *SUTRO TUNNEL COMPANY,” under a special Act of Congress of the United States, has the following rights and privileges : ist—The Company owns a tract of mineral lsnd adjacent to the Comstock Lode, in the State of Neyads, being the very heart and center of the richest silver region inthe world, SEVEN MULES IN LENOTH BY FOUR THOUSAND FEET IN WIDTH, EMBRAOING FIVE THOUSAND AND TWENTY ACRES. 2d—Also a Town Site st the mouth of the Tunnel, containing one thousand two hundred and eighty aeres. 3d—The exelusive ownership of atu mines diseovered by the Tunnel. 4tb—A royalty forever of rwo DOLLARA on each and every ton of oro extracted from any part of the Comstock Lode, and 6th—The right of appropriation of all the water carried off through the Tunnel, Construction of the Tunnel. In order to develop and render valuable every portion of tbis grant, the Company has commenced the eonstruction of the Tunnel, which has already progressed five hundred feet, and is now being pushed day and night, at the rate of fifty feet per week. The Tunnel is provided with a double-track railroad, and, with a ramified system of hrancbes, to be coustructed in cvery direetion, will form a great highway under this argentiferous mountain range, furnishing extraordinary facilities for developing mines, cheap tranaportation, ventilation and drainage. It will eveutnally penetrate into the very heart of Monnt Davidson, the center of this great silver region, under the summit of which it will pass at a perpeudicular depth of three thousand four hundred and seveuty-threo feet. Abandonment of the Mines, The abandonment of tbe mines on the Comstock Lode, under tho present expensive system of mining, is but a question of time; the completion of the Tunnel will give them anew lease of life, and will be the inauguration of anew erain mining. Instead of fifty steam eugines, now necessary to pumpthe water and hoist the ore, none at all will be required. The water will run off throngh tbe Tunnel of its own accord; the ore will drop down by tho laws of gravitation, and he transported over a short, straight, level railroad to the water power of Carson river, at less expenso than it now costs to boist it; fresh air will ascend to all parts of the mines, and through the conneeting shafta, as through chimneys two thousand fcet in height. In short, tho simple laws of nature will he made to perform more effeetually, at no cost at all, what is now accomplished by artificial means at an annus] oxpeuso of millions of dollars e Redueed Cost of Mining. The cost of mining and transportation will be so much redueed, and facilities for concentration at the mouth of the Tuunel created, as will make available many millions of tona of low-grade ore, which otherwise will forever remain buried in the bowels of tho eartb, It will permit tho most extensive exploration on those portioua of the Comstock Lode which have hitberto becn unproductive. Development of New Mines. The development of now mines in this argentiferous belt is not a matter of speculation; it is one so well established by repeated exeininations of the Company’s evant, aud by analogy with other mineral districts, that uo doubt as to its immenso value can he entertained. The great silver deposits of tho world are confined to isolated aud limited localities, whero cither ono grent mother vein forms the nucleus of a system of parallel or eross yeins and deposits, or where the latter oceur hy themselves, a8 has amply been illustrated hy the cxplorations of centuries in the mines of Sehommitz, in Hungary, those of Clausthsl, in the Harz, Friedberg, in Saxony, Cornwall, in England, Charnacillo, in Chilo, Potosi, in Bolivia, Guanajuata and Zacatecas in Mexieo— tho three latter baving for over threo hundred years . poured out their treasures, and yielded two thousand oight hundred millions of dollars, heing more than onehalf the silver ever produced in the world. Sourees of Revenue, The whole country, from the mouth of the Tunnel, heing of an argentiferoua cbaracter, valuable developments may he made at sny time during ita progress, One singlemine opened up may furnish the means for completion of the whole Tunnel. The sslo of town lots and mili sites on the Company's land will also yield eonsiderahle ineome; also that doyived from tho sale of water furnished hy the Tunnel. A very important revenue Will he ohtained from the eontributions by the mines on the Comstoek Lode, made eompuilsory by the Act of Congress already referred to, which makes the titles to these mines subjeet to the coudition (expressed in all patents) that they shall pay to the Tunnel Company two dollars per ton, forever, on overy ton of ore extracted from any portion of the miues, At the present rato of production of one thousand tons per day, this will yield to the Tunnel Company a daily income of two thousand dollars, exclusive of the ebarges for transportation of men, ore, rock, timbers, ete., estimated to amount to a similar sum. Some idea of the income of the Tunnel Company from this source may be formed when it ia considered that the increased facilities furnished by the Tunnel after its completion may triple the number of tons produced by these mines. Benefits to the Conntry. The influence which the suecessful completion of his great work will exercise upon all our mining interests can hardly be estimated. By securing the future produetiveness of the most important minea in the world for a bundred years to come, by establishing their value at a greater depth than has yet been reached on any tiine in the world, and by introducing « rational, permanent and economical system of mining, an munequalled impetus to, and confidence in, all mining operations will be given, which must result in immense benefits to the whole nation, and especially to everybody interested in the welfare of the Pacific Coast, An opportunity is now offered to all to become interested in thia important and magnificent undertaking, under the following resolution: *‘Resolved by the Board of Trustees, That twenty thousand shares of the full paid stock be sold at the office of the Company,” where further partionlars and printed circulars may be obtained.
