PATENTS BOUGHT AND SOLD ON COMMISSION.
For the henefit of those who live at a distance from the city, we give helow a hrief description of a few of
the valuable Patenta which we have in our office. It may be well to state here that no Patent ia received by
us for negotiation until it is first endoraed hy reliable experts, to whom cach is subjected for acceptance or
rejection. We treat all patents alike, recommending only where true merit is found in the invention.
Odermatt & Ettlin’s Fountain Pen.
We call the attention of manu to this new iny for supplying writing and drawing pens with
a constant flow of ink. The pen-stalk contains suificient ink to last for two orthree days’ constant use, and is
provided with stop-cocks, which make it perfectly safe for carrying in the pocket. The flow of ink is uuder perfect control of the operator, A slight pressure on the thumb and _fore-finger on the elastic sides of the holder ia
all that is required to reguiate the flow of ink to suit the writer. It never blota unless forced to doso. The cost
to manufacture ia small, and the demand for a good Fountain Pen is very extensive among all classes of literary
and businessmen. A aample of this invention can be aeen and tried at our office,314 Bush street, San Francisco. The entire Patent, or the Right for any State, can be hought on reasonahle terms. Full particulars furnished on application,

Assav Office of H. Harris, Silver City, Nevada, April 24,
1869—Messrs A. S Haitdie & Co.—Gents, :—1 received from
yau threo Crucibles of the Morgan wake, which 1 have
used since their arrival, and tested by coustaut use. Siuce
1847, when in the New Orieans Mint, I have always preferred the Crucibie of Dixor’s make over Adus, Gautier,
and Taunton, Mass. Yours I flud to be not alone of more
finished make, but to stand double or treble the work of
Dixun’s Crucitics, The No, 12—tbe smallest sent—has
stood so far 32 meitings, and isas good aud sound as when
recelved. Your Crucioies do not scalo off like otbers; and
as they are forty per cent. clleaper, 1 Go not see why they
should not be preferred by all assayersa on account of durahiliiy aud cheapness. Youra respectfully, HARRIS,
