From an Old Inventor.
Manygvinne, Cal., March 2, 1872.—Messrs. Dewey &
Co., U. 8. and Foreign Patont Attorneys, San Francisco.
My Patent, through your Agency, is received. Please
accept my warmest thanks for the ability you displayed
in obtainlog it. Thirty years experience in inyenting
and obtaining pstents has taught me tbe lesson that
that patent agency is the cheapest which has the most
ability, integrity and onergy; and without flattery, permit me to gay that I bave tried tho most prominent
patent agents of tbe Atlantic Coast, and have never had
my work 80 ably done as by your firm. I have carefully
reviewed tho specifications and claims of my patent, and
am unable to find an error, nor would I add a word or
line thereto; yet it is the most complicated and difficult
invention to specify clearly that I ever invented; still,
your lucid specificatlons and drawings so divest it of its
apperent complication, tbat it may casily be nnderatood
by any one. Permit me to say, in oonolusion, that the
inventors of this coast have cause for just pride in the
possession of so ablé a mediumas DEWEY & Co., tbrough
which thoy may obtain justice at the Patent Offico.
10v3-lam3t Yours truly, 8. PELTON.
