REAPER AND MOWER SECTIONS, BARS AND KNIVES COMPLETE, ata saving of 50 per cont. Orders from the conniry le , B, and with which the suction pipe, $, communicates, permitting a free circulation of water within the jacket and into the hollow covor or top through the sories of openings, one of which is shown at A, and from thence into the hody of Condenser, B, through pipe P, carried hy float F; the pipe P also acts antomatically asa valve to enlargo or contract the space through which tho water enters it, by which means the possihility of the condenser being at any time floodcd is avoided. The pipe P, it will be ohserved, also acts as a guide to float F. The valve, O, (sbown in Cut No. 1), which is raised or lowered hy menus of screwed stem—shown coming through elbow in Cut No. 2—is for the purpose of increasing or decreasing the flow of water according to the capacity of the pump to which it is attached. The exhaust pipe from steam cylinder is screwed into cover at E; the exhaust stcam is thus thrown directly into contact with the wator cntering the condenser on its way to water cylindcr of pump through D. A vacuum heing of course immediately formed, acts on the exhaust sido of the steam piston, aiding it in its work. If atany time itis desirahle to run the pump without the condcnser, it is only necessary to turn the three-way cock, which is placed in the exhaust pipe, into such a position as to cause tho steam cylinder to exhaust into the atmosphero; when this is done the pump is perfectly free from the condenser, and acts as if it were not attached. This condenscr is specially useful for pumps running in mines, or any other position where trouhle is expericnced in getting rid of the exhaust steam. Address HH, L.
