The pan being filled, tha motion of the mnller forces
tha pulp to tha center, where it ls drawn down through
tha apperture and between tha grinding surfaces.—
Thence itis thrown to the periphery into the quicksilver.
The curved plates again draw It to the center, whers it
passes down, and to the circumference as bofors. Thus i,
it is constantly passing aregular flow hetween the grind\
ing surfaces and into the quicksilver, until tha ors is a
panacea to an impalpshle powder, and the metal amal. gamated. =
