The Winchestor Repeating Arms Company, of Now
Haven, Conn,, bare recently made still further valuahle
imarovements on the ovlebrated Henry Rifle, whioh now
make it, beyond doubt. the miost magnificent weapon in
the world. They havo just introdnocd this beautifal arm
upon the markel, and their San Francisco Agenoy is fuily
supplied with all the various styles, together with cartridyes for tho same.
n the manufacture of the now gun, iron mountings
(hlued or case-hardened) hays heen substituted for gun
metal or brass, thus increating tha strength of the arm
and decroasing its woigbt. ltia also now so constructed
as to oarry a Contral Viro eee holding one-third
inore powder than used in the cartridge of the model uf
1886, thereby greatly augmenting tho poworwnd accuracy
of the weapon.

which covers Lio opening in which the Carrier Block moves
upand down, This lid, by the action of the Currier Lever,
