Washoe. They were supplied in our city

returned over the mountains yesterday. —
The amount of freight taken by them was
some twenty-four thousand pounds.

and Ready was entered through the stone

Direp.—Jas. Peirce, well known to every
body in this vicinity, died on Thursday night
at the house of his brother George S. Peirce,
in this city. He was a member of the Hook
and Ladder Company and will be followed to
the grave to-day by his old associates in the
Company. He was 31 years of age and a na=}tive of Lowell, Massachusetts.
