QuARTERLY MeeTING.—The Methodist
Quarterly Meeting takes place Sunday next,
Aug. 25th. There will be preaching in the’
morning, at half-past ten o’clock, by the Rev.
W. Grove Deal, and at half-past seven in the
evening, by the Rev. Mr. Fish.
Divine SeERVICE.—Divine service will be
held; “to-day, at the Methodist and Baptist
churelies, at half-past ten o’clock, A. M., and
half-past seven, P. M.
Ricn CLams.—Messrs. Sears & Buhring,
near North San Juan, are just beginning to
pierce the rich vein in their claims. On Saturday they took out upwards of $3,000.
. On the same day, after an eight days’ run
with three pipes, the Knickerbocker claims,
near the same place, yielded $2,206.
Camp MeeTING.—One of these religious
institutions, is on its fourth day at the Buttes,
near Marysville. Fifteen families are en.
¢amped in tents, and the Rev. Dr. W. Grove
Deal, of our city, has gone there to address
them. It he don't stir them up there is no
use in trying.
Tre Pony.—The Pony arrived at Reese
River Station on Friday, at 5.0’clock, P.M:
Tt brought no dispatches. We are glad of it.
