NATURALIZING A LAWYER.—In the District Court, yesterday, a young gentleman,
named Greeley, whe brought a certificate .
from the courts of New Hampshire, applied
for admission to the bar. After examining
his credentials and finding.them satisfactory,
the Judge proceeded to administer the oath,
as follows: ‘‘ You do solemnly swear to sup.
port the Constitution of the United States
and of the State of California, and you do
now and forever renounce —— “Ah!” said
