The views are so many that we can recollect pe great-erent-of the war down: to the atted. Go and see it. . ResoLutions.—The following resolutions were adopted atthe Union County Convens tion, which met in this city on Weduesday + last: Resolved. That we cordially re«affirm the following resolutions adopted at the Union State Convention of 1862: Resolved, That we heertily indorse the present National Admimstration, and hereby pledge ourselves to sustaia it in allits effuits to preserve the. Union. Resolved, That we are'in favor of a vigor ous proseccution of the-war, without regard to cost or sacrifice, until the last: rebel is disarmed and the supremacy of the National Government acknowledged in every State and Territory of the Unien. Resolved, That.we have no sympathy with any party or person who advocates a peace ‘Union in open -rebellion against the Gevernment’; and that such a peace would prove to be but a hollow truce, leading again to res ‘bellfion and war, and would be a lasting dis. grace ‘to ‘us and our country. ‘Reséloed, ‘That every citizen of the United States owes an allegiance to the National kiance to any State, and that any other doc}trine-would be repugnant te the Constitution and to every principle upon which our Government 1¢ founded. Resoléed, ‘That since the inauguration of the present National Administration, all issues heretofore dividing the loyal ple of the different political parties have been settled, and the only issue now before the naa tion is unien or disunion. Resolved, That we heartily indorse the President's Proclamation of Freedom, of January 1, 1863, believing it to be a wiee i}proper war measure, and a step ouward in ‘the cause of civilization and human proTess. ‘Resolved, That the brave officers and men who are upholding the National flag on land aad sea are worthy the admiration of.manind and the gratitude of the nation. ‘Resolved, That we cull upon all loyal citiens to unite with us in rebuking defeat. at the polls in Septembernext the maligmat tribe of copperheads, Who. fle claiming the aame of Democrats, on all occasions to dissvurage out armies in thé held, and to corrupt the patriotic sentiment of the loyal people of the country. , (Resolved, That we bail with joy the glorius triumphs of the National armse—as the herald of peace to the “ ublic by the only possible means—through final victory. Resolved, That we heartily endoree the war measures of the Administtation— ne nd atl—and will cordially support every act hat shall tend to cripple this foul rebellion nd promote its utter and final defeat. ‘Resolved, that the safety and honor of Calornia demands that the party styling themlves Democrats, but. under a fimery pres xt-of loyalty, secretly sympathising with reason, be defeated at the polls. And to his end we a ourselves to lay aside all rty prejudices uf every name, and labor ealously and earnestly for the success of the bole Union ticket—State and Cuunty. A Goon SHargpsnvorer.—Probably the t sharpsheoter m Grant's army is Lieupcoant Foster of the Twenty-third Indiana, ttached to Gen. Stevengun”s brigade, of an’s division. When the army took up present position, Foster obtained permis. to sharpshoot on his own book.
