The rock is exceedingly hard, but it is exceedingly rich also, in sowe places pockets occurring of pure gold. One, having more than $100,000 in it. is well known tu have been emptied by George Fellows leesthan a year ago. The lead is about five feet in thick« nese and is being worked in four piaces at the present time. Qne tunnel is 125 feet in depth. Along the sides of the ledge are aulphurets, and when they begin to enter the center of the ledge look out for rich pocketa. There are such favorable indications at the present time.
