Tne Fettows Leap.—By the laiesina
of Mons, Julian, whe superintends the working of the Fellows qaartz lead. on German
Bar, we were yeaterday showna lotof rich
specimens lately: taken from the lead. The
rock is exceedingly hard, but it is exceedingly rich also, in sowe places pockets occurring of pure gold. One, having more than
$100,000 in it. is well known tu have been
emptied by George Fellows leesthan a year
ago. The lead is about five feet in thick«
nese and is being worked in four piaces at the
present time. Qne tunnel is 125 feet in
depth. Along the sides of the ledge are aulphurets, and when they begin to enter the
center of the ledge look out for rich pocketa.
There are such favorable indications at the
present time. We learn that the rock in
general pays about $60 per ton.
