The Board then adjourned ‘till Monday night, the 1Uth inst. =~ es ae §an Juan Union CrrcuLar.—Some seventy of-the most respectable and influential men of North San Juan, in this equaty, have issued a circular, ivowing themselves jn favorof-a Union State Convention, irréspective of party. ‘The circular asserts that the time has-arrived, in California, when all old partisan feelings and prejudices should. be laid. aside ‘by. the friends of the Ameriéan Union, and their efforts directed to the reintegration and preservation of that Union.— It, therefore, recommends an abandonment of all former political organizations and a grand rally on the proposed Union Conrention at Sacramento, to which delegates will be sent from North San Juan. ‘Will not an echo to this patriotic. circular be heard in Nevada? FATat CavinG ACCIDENT.—At Moore’s while drifting, was instantly killed by. the cay" ingof the earth above him. He heard the caving of the bank and ran some twenty. feet from the spot on which he was at-work before he was overtaken and crushed by the falling earth. The deceased was a native of Ireland, aged about twenty-four years. His remains were interred, on Saturday last, in the Catholic cemetery at Grass Valley. The number of fatal accidents from caving, during the last six months, has been frightfully large.
