About the Palmetto flag-staf? there were a few staggering drunken men, who were, hardl{ sensible of what they were about, und whe were put to do what thep did by others who were insthe shade; while the flag-staff of the Unien was surrounded by a large crowd of iutelligent and well-appearing citizens, add-a goodly number of ladies. The ladies raised the flag, and as it spread to the breeze, there «went up such a shout as never-was before heard in Southern Oregon. Unionis the strong prevailing sentiment here.
