Restorative BEVERAGE, whether for the robust or the invalid. For the past eight. ycars it has attracted the attention_of. connoiseurs of Whiskies at. the South, and in other portions of our dountry. The consumption and demand for it are-daily increasing, and we ‘are confident that it mrust supercede all other forms’ of restorative liquors, combining as it does every: element-of gen hon Palatability and Healthfulness,: w ¢h should characterizea beverage suited to our age and country.’ CAUTION AS TO COUNTERFEITS AND ‘eed “EMEPATIONS. The high appreciation which contioisseurs and . the public generally have extended to our,4¢OLD me + OLTA” other brands of pure Whisky and the, consequent increasing demand. for them in all sections of the country, have induced un principled parties to. resort to the. most unfair and di a imitatiqns and counterfeits of our brands-and predicts. We have been advised by our correspondents, in various sections of the country, that a common and very inferior Whisky has been sold under the names of *Magnolia’’ and ‘‘ Family Rye thus injuring the reputation of our own PURE and STANDARD article, and impos upon the public inferior compounds. 7 ; : Andin San Francisco, our former colored cut of the nelia Flower has been imitated in a very inferior style, with our names incorrectly spelled, thus: “FREEMAN & SIMSON.” _. In other: cases, similar incorrect ways . of opens our names have been resorted to by parties who endeavor to evade the law, and at the same time to imitate our labels. We therefore call the attention of our customers, and ef dealers generally, to the above facts, and degire them to observe the correct spelling of our names on the packages. We also desire them to notice that upon ever barrel and packagé of eur GENUINE articles, our humes are branded in full; and also, that to ‘each barrel and package ts affixed é OUR NEW CARD. With-a view to prevent the success of Impo sitions, imitations. and Counterfeits, we have discontinued the use of our former colored ‘cut ofthe Magnoha Flower.and have substituted for it a Card. containing an engraving of * ‘The Phenix Die ery. on the Schaylkill river,’ with our name printed in full, ‘These various attempts to imitate and counterfeit our Whiskies, and perhaps the best tributes be las ta reputation which they have achieyOt and REEMAN & SIMPSON = Prone Wivteiiteryson Schuylkill river. re +g,» Philadelphia. org.
