The best ———a The Nevada Daily Transcript ~~’ ; sera tral WEDNESDAY MORNING, MARCH 4. ee RopBery.—While two Chinamen were sitting in their cabin, near Wall’s Bridge, at about 7 o’clock on Monday evening last, two Americans entered with pistols cocked and . . denianded all the money the Chinese had in their possession. They succeeded in relieving . them of $100 in gold and then shot one of the Chinammen astern. ‘The Chinese aroused . — __the neighborhood and about a dozen white . men with shot guns and_ pistols started in pursuit of the robbers but were: unable to fndthem. Nearly all the cabins in that vivimty have been robbed within tne past two weeks of money, clothing and provisions.— This was a very daring rebbery considering that so many Americans reside in the immedite neighburhood. — —< Ruxaway.—Davenport & Co’s fine team came past our office yesterday with whirl~ wind speed on a grand old fashioned runablessed with any extra width of street and the gallant bays found the turn a little too short for‘them. In coming up Commercial and debouching on a haw into Pine, the team passed across una visit to the popular Cheap John establishment. The pole of the wagon struck one of those nice round pillars that ornament the front of the awning, imbedding the iron end three inches in the solid wood. That villar and another came down, very nearly flooring the awning also. The street G. W. KIDD, .C.C. LEAVITT, A. H. HANBON. A. H.
