OLD MAGNOLIA WHISKY
‘\HIS FINE WHISKY 18 THE “ NONT 1” of a pure, healthful and invigoratng Tonic, suited exaetly to the peculiar conditions of the climste of our continent, and the
very perfection of Restorative BEVERAGE,
whether tor the robust or the invalid. For the
past eight years it has attracted the attention of
Whiskies at the South, and in
other portions of our country. The consumption
and for it are daily increasing, and we
forms of restorative liquors, corabining as it
does every element of ity, Strength, PalaIMITATIONS.
The h appreciation which connoisseurs and
the public generally have extended to our ““OLD
NOLIA ” and other of pure Whisky
and the con t imcreasing demand for them
in all sections of the country, have induced un
principled parties to_resort to the most unfair
and disreputable imitations and counterfeite of
our brands and products.. We have been advised
by our correspondents in various sectione of the
country, that a common ‘and very inferior
Whisky has been sold under the names of“ Magnolia’* and “* Family Rye,’’ thus fajuring the
reputation of o@r own PUKE and STANDARD
article, and imposing upon the public inferior
compounds. =
And in’ San Francisco, our former colored cut
lia Flower has been imitated in a
_ very inferior style, with eur names incorrectly
spelled, thus:
“FREEMAN & SIMSON.”
In other cases, similar incorrect ways of
galling our names have been resorted to by par
es who endeavor to evade the law, and at the
éame time to imitate our labels.
We therefore call the attention of eur customers, and ef dealers generally, to the above facts,
and desire them to observe tie correct spelling
of our names on the packages.
We also desire them to notice that u m eve
. barrel and package of our GENUIN aetlaies
our names are in fall; and also, that to
each barrel and package is affixed
With a view to prevent the success of Impositions, imitations and Counterfeits, we have
’ discontiaued the use of our former colored cut
: ppg gone Flower and have substituted for
it a containing an engra of ‘* The
Phenix Distillery on the Schuylkill river,”’ with
our name printed in fall.
These various attempts to imitate and counterfeit our Whiskies, and perhaps the best tributes
