OLD MACNOLIA WHISKY
‘VVHIS. FINE WHISKY IS THE * NON
. pareil ? of a pure, healthful and invigoratug Tonic, suited exactly to.the peculiar conditions of the climete of our continent, and the
very perfection of a Restorative DEVERAGE,
whether for the robust or the invalid.— For the
past eight years it has attracted’ the attention of
connoiseurs of Whigkies at the South, and in
other portions ofour. country. The consumption
and demand for it are daily inercasing, and we
“ure confident that it must supercedé all other
forius Of restorative liquora, combining as it
does every element of Purity, Strength, Pala
tability and Healthfuliess, which should charaeterizea beverage suited to our age and confitry
CAUTION AS TOCOUNTERFEIP3 AND
IMITATIONS.
The high appreciation which connoisseurs and
the public generally have extended to our “OLD
MAGNOLIA ” and other brands of pure Whisky
and the consequent increasitg demand for them
in all sections of the country, have induced ue
principled parties to resort to the most unfair
ww disreputable imitations and counterteits. of
our soni and products. We have been advised
by our correspondents ia various sections of the
country, that a commor and very inferior
Whisky has been sold aunderthe names of * Mag
nolia and ** Family Kye,’? thus injuring the
reputation of our own PURE and STANDARD
articie, and imposiag upom the pablic inferior
eompounde.
Andin San Franciseo, our former colored cut
of the Magnolia Flower has been imitated in a
very inferior atylé, with our names incurrectly
spelled, thus:
‘**FREEMAN & SIMSON.”
ln other cases, similar incorrect ways of
*pelling our names have beea resorted to by par
tice who endeavor to evade the law, and at the
same time to imitate our labels. ;
We therefore call the attention of eur custom
vrs, and ef dealers generally, to the above facta,
and desire them to observe tie correct spelling
of our names on the packages.
We also desire them to aotice that upen every
barrel aad package of our GRNUILNE articles,
vur names are. branded in full; aud-also, that to
euch batrel and package is affixed
With a view ta prevent the succeas of Impo
#itivns,. imitativus and Countertzits, we have
disvoutinued the use of our forme? colored cut
ofthe Maguolia Flower and have substituted for
it a Card containing au engraving of *‘ The
Phenix Distillery oa the Schuylkill river,” with ¢
our mame printed in fall.
‘These various attempts to imitate and counterfeit our Whiskies, and perhaps the best tributes
to the high reputation which they have achieved. Infurier articles are never counterfeited.
