OLD MACNOLIA WHISKY
fVHIS FINE WHISKY IS THE “ NONi areil ’ of a pure, healthful and invigoratng Tonic, suited-exaetly to the peculiar conditions of the climete of our continent, and the
very perfection of a Restorative DEVERAGE,
whether for the robust or the Invalid. For the
past eight years it has attracted the attention of
connoiseurs of Whiskies at the Sonth, and in
other portions of.our country. The consumption
and demand for it are daily increasing, and we
are confident that it must supercede all other
forms of restvrative liquors, combining as it
does every element of Purity, Strength, Pala
tability and Healthfulness, which should characterizé a beyerage suited to our age and country
CAUTION AS-TOCOUNTERFEITS AND
. IMITATIONS. ©
The high appreciation which connoisseurs and
the public generally have extended to our “OLD
MAGNOLIA ” and other brands of purée Whisky
and the consequent increasing demand for them
in all sections of the country, have, induced un
principled parties to resort to the most unfair
and disreputabie imitations and counterfeits of,
our brands and products. We have been advised
by our correspondents in various sectione of the
country, that a common and very inferior
Whisky has been sold under the names of * Magnolia ” and ‘‘ Family Rye,’? thus injuring the
reputation of our own PURE and STANDARD
article, and imposing upon the public inferior
eompounds. : : a
Andin San Francisco, our former colored cut
of the Magnolia Flower has been imitated in a
very inferior style, with our names incorrectly
wpelled, thus :
“FREEMAN & SIMSON.”
In other cases, similar incorrect ways ofspelling our names have been resorted to by par
ties whe endeavor to evade the law, and at the
same time to imitate our labels.
We therefore call the attention of eur customera, and ef. dealers generally, to the above facts,
and desire them to observe the correct spelling
of our names on the packages. :
We also desire them to notice Bs u every
darrel and package of our GE INE articles.
our names are branded im full; and also, that to
each barrel and package is affixed
With a view to prevent the success
imitations and Counterfeits,
