0 ne hu yan * -On the fork of a creek flowing into South Honcut Creek. Now
called Swedes Flat, three miles north of Bangor in Butte County. The Indians
there spoke a mixed language. The head man was called Captain Edgar by the
Nisenan and Sal ai tu by the Maidu (J).
Chi_ chim bu pu * -On the North Branch of Honcut Creek, a little north of
Rackerby, Butte County. The site used to be called Greenville Ranch. A mixed
language was spoke there, as in Men o ma.
Men _o ma * -Just west of Rackerby on Rock Honcut Creek (J).There were temporary camps in the vicinity of Oregon House, Kentucky Ranch,
Dobbins, Indian Ranch, Frenchtown, Maple Grove Ranch, Brownsville, Sicard
Flat, and Sucker Flat in Yuba County; also, at Bangor and Wyandotte in Butte
County, but my informant was unable to remember the names of them (J).
