McDougald met with quite a painful accident a few days ago, and as a result is still suffering from a badly sprained ankle. She was fixing a’ clothes line on a high baek porch. She pulled on the line aud it gave way and she fell off a porch ten or twelve feet high and the wonder is she was not k lled. The Truckee Lumber Company have been making extended improvements on their large sawmill. The capacity of the mill has been enlarged by putting in a new water-wheel and increasing the power. With the new improvements, which makes: the mill quite modern in its equipments, the mill will saw as much lumber in the dey alone as it has done before by running night and day. P. Henry is out at Beckwith, Plumes ounty, this week. in the interest of the Reno Lumber Company of which.Mr. Henry is president. ‘The company recently purchased a tract of timber land in the vicinity of Beckwith.
