Brown's Valley. Mines,
The prospects fora lively revival of the
quartz mining industry at Brown’s Valley
are becoming brighter every day. The
Dannebrogne is erecting a ten-stamp mill
with 4. capacity for twenty stamps and
everything is done in first-class shape.
The Flag is being developed by ainking,
and no ore is being crushed as) the mill
used by the Flag Compiny is on the Hibbert & Burris mine, which mining property
is now being reopened under the management of Superintendent Walrath, backed
by arich company, It is expected that the
Pennsylvania and Jefferson preperties will
be re-opened ina few weeks by or under
the management of those interested in the
Danvebrogue. The towA& is now taxed to
ite limit for aceommodations for‘those workiug the mines. Visitors cannot remain in
town over night, as they cannot be accommodated, and many mining men who have
come to visit the locality, have to return the
same day to Marysville in order to secure
accommodations, The contract’ has been
let for the building of a large hotel on the
Downer property. The present site of the
town is covered by mineral patents or mining clainis, and only a few people have such
property rights in the town that could be
built upon.—Marysville Appeal,

Re. ign, and let the memory of your names
stand as that of men, who, when proven

The Appeal admits that men cannot be
blamed for what they never knew, You
didn’t know it was loaded—but you should
have known,
Gentlemen, the Appeal admits you may
be honest, but so consumed are you with a
sense of your own indispensibilty that you

dallying have been undone,
, The effulgence of your intercourse as you
have mingled together in the management of
