At the meeting ofPennsylvania Engine Company last evening, the report of the committee appointed to confer with a. committee from the Grass Valley: Fire Department in relation to giving a picnic, was received and adopted. ‘The recommenda— tion that the company unite with the others and do all in its power to help maké the picnic a success, was heartily endorsed, The temporary committee was made the permanent committee, as follows: J; J. Jackson, J. B. Gray, Ed. W. Schmidt, This committee, together with a like committee from Hose Company Ne. 1, consisting of John F, Hook, C. J. Brand and Jas. J, Hanley, will meet with the committee from the Grasa Valley Fire Department on next Sunday afternoon, Robert Snell, Assistant_Chief Engineer, who is acting as Chief.
