be identified with the California Pine

At a meeting of the Fire Department
last Wednesday night Daniel McPheters John Sherritt and Fritz Obland
were nominated for fire commissioners, to be voted for at the election
Monday. They are the present commiesioners and will probably succeed
themselves, as no other names have
been proposed. The election will also
be for the special fire tax which Trackee authorizes to be levied each year.
The sum to be voted upon is $1,250, and
there is no doubt about the result of
the election.
Constable Wilson was here ‘Chursday looking fora man who who was

been arrested and jailed at Verdi and
told the officer the other was in Truckes, He was not located, however.

Last evening ‘8 “very pretty wedding
Spring street, when Mies May Gribble,
the eldest daughter of James T. Gribnow, 8 popular and industrious young
man, of this city. At precisely nine
o'clock the bridal party entered the
handsomely decorated parlors to the
strains of a pretty wedding march.
Rev. J. Sims, pastor of the First Oongregational church performed the ceremony, and Many guests witnessed the
happy event. The bridesmaids were
Mies Isabella. Richards and Miss
Anvie Plummer, while Messrs. Lester Kirkham and Eugene Hallett actasister of the groom, was maid of honor.
Little Rath Gribble wae the ring
bearer, and as the binding words were
being spoken those present beheld an
exceedingly pleasing scene. The bride
was. gowned in elegant attire, and
she looked very pretty. In neat conventional black, the groom presented
a fine appearance.
After the ceremony many hearty
congratulations were extended and
a reception followed. An elaborate
wedding supper was then enjoyed,
and more kind words for the health
and prosperity of the happy young
couple, who left on the early morning
train for San Francisco. The honeymoon will be spent there and in
nearby cities, after which they will
take up their residence here.

well-known assayer, arrived here from
Alaska last evening on a visit. His
family remained over with relatives at
Sacramento, but intend to come to this
city next Wednesday. Emil and his
