of the man reported killed, The two
men who brought in the report pawned
a cheap gun with a doctor for $25, saying they needed the money to get their

Wednesday night about eleven

the other wished a similar favor, but
was told that he could not be accommodated. Presently they came again

but were informed that the safe would’
not be opened at that: time to put in
thatamount. They. disappeared, but
next morning it was discovered : that
the till had been tapped and a sum
amounting to less than $100 taken.
They evidently had schemed to have
the safe opened to rob it, but failed.
There was not much nioney in it, however, as $4700 had been sent out just
the day before. :
Parties supposed to be the ones that
did the robbing were tracked down the

his bare feet to give the impression that
they were Indians. The other was on
horseback. ;
They are supposed to have originated

A First-class Program.
The music in the program of the
coming old folks concert is to be of a
varied character. Some of it is strictly
classical. Part of it is in a lighter vein
and some of it is hamorous. That Mrs.

of this city have it in charge insures
its character. Every: number on the
program is good.
