Geo. Obleyer, the. crazy anti-slickens
hombre, is out in another long-winded article
in the Appeal in reply to a few innocent remarks made in the Maryaville Democrat
about the building ofthe $300,000 dam at
D-gurre Point, below Smartsville. Among
other things the old stiff says :
“Tt should not be difficult to estimate the
measure of the influence exerted before the
Committee on Rivers and Harbors by’ the
river delegates had they advocated the rcsumption of hydraulic mining on the lines
proposed by the Nevada City TraNscrIPT
and apparently courted by the Marysville
Democrat. They would have been invited
to retire and study the as tgehel ” the Government engineers.”
Tom Sherwood of the Democrat should
pay no attention to the crank.
Will Give a Concert.
The: members of the choir of the M. E.
Church are making arrangements for a grand
coucert which will be given. by them on!

in all probability take place at the Theatre.

GREAT VAKS
From Jittle acorns grow, so also do fatal
diseases spring from small beginnings:
Never neglect symptoms of Kidney Troubles;
if allowed to develop they cause much suffering and sorrow. Dr. J. H. McLean’s
Liver and Kidneys Balm is a certain” cure
for any disease or weakness of the Kidneys.
A trial will convince you of its great potency.
