Work to Be Commenced on the Posey Wine. The necessary papers in the bondibg of the Posey mine, Willow Valley district, were signed yesterday, and erty next Monday. W. H: Bray, who represeiits a number of San Francisco capitaliste, will be in charge of the mine, and as he is ranked high in mining circles it is confidently expected that the Posey will soon be put in a good shape. The hoisting works of Foreman & Hastings, situated on the Washington Ridge, have been purchased and will b> removed to the Posey as soon as possible. On Monday next the sinking of the shaft will be continued, and development work will be kept up right along. Mr. Bray bus govd hopes for the fature of this property and will use his beet endeavors to bring it to the front. His company is well supplied with capital, and everything necessary to the proper development of the mine will be carried out in a systematic manner. At the Mountaineer. oS A few men were laid off at the Mountaineer mine last evening while preparations are being made to sink the shaft at the 1200-foot level. John Bender, one of the largest stockholders, is here from Hamilton, Obio, and has expressed himself ag well pleased with the future prospects of the prop= erty. Superintendent W. A. Dennis has been contemplating the inauguration of the work mentioned above for some time, and it will be started as soon as all the arrangements are perfected. Does It Pay to Buy Cheap ?
