Mre. Katherine Allen, a former restdent of this city, died at the home of
her son, W. O. Alien,in San Francisco

Piety Hill, and it was Mra. Cooper who

The late Oharles Allen, who was on
the police force of San Francisco, was

sons are now residents of Bakersfield,
Frank T. Allen, a practicing attorney,
and Fred Allen, Deceased was a native of Oanada and aged about 54
years.

Murderer Hanged
Mzpia, Pa., August. 25.— Robert Kilpatrick was hanged in the county jail
here sbortly before noon today by
Sheriff Howard, in the présence of a
small group of official witnesses Kilpatrick’s crime was the murder of his
housekeeper, Elizabeth Bearmore.'He
