Manager J, A. Fillmore of the Southern Pacific declares that hereafter westbound trains on his road will not try to make up time lost by Eastern connections. He says that several. of the roads ranning out of Chicago advertise almost impossible schedules and that his trains: have to wait from two to three hours in Ogden for the late train, He says that this fast work is dangerous, and that he will force connecting Eastern roads to change their time westbound passenger trains out of Ogden on.schedale time, and leave the belated trains of other roads to wait in Ogden and take the full and deserved blame for their inability to make their ruus from Chicago on advertised time. ; Sierra County Notes, R. H. Brown of Scale Scales has departed for his old home at Fort Wayne, Ind., where he will spend the winter with relatives, looking up the scenes of boyhood days. Thos. Pritchard, an old resident of Sierra county, died at the county hospital last Tuesday evening. He has been sick for some time past with that dreaded disease, consumption.
