evidently was trying to capture something. Word was sent to the Sheriff's
office and Sheriff Getchell went to the

Pension Question.
A United States Senator says that
the ¢ntention of Congress to pay Mrs.
McKinley one year’s galary of the
President’s office and to grant her a
pension has given rise to the suggestion that this cannot be done without
also giving consideration to the case
of Mrs. Harrison, widow of President
Harrison. The Senator takes the position that it would be discrimination
to provide for Mrs, McKinley without
deing something for Mrs. Harrison,
and believes that this matter will be
fully considered in Congress at this
session. He says that while President Harrison died out of office, there
is no reason why Mrs. Harrison
should not receive the same consideration as Mrs. McKinley.
