us The Coe Mine
Telegraph: Mons. J. P, Meleville has secured a bond on the Coe mine and expects
to begin operations at an early day. Mr.
Meleville has secured the property for a
French and Belgium company. The Coe is
in an excellent locality and has a strong and
large ledge. There. is machinery on the
property capable of developing the mine
and water power in abundance is at hand.
There are miners here who have unbounded
faith in the Coe property and predict that
with proper management it will .be placed
on the dividend paying list.

ALLEN 6. THURMAN DEAD,
COLUMBUS, (0.), December 12th.—Allen G. Thurman died at 1:15 today. Th®
death of Thurman was a painful shock to the general public here. . The latest reports from
1im before today were to the effect that he was doing finely. The Thurman residence is . about a mile from the center of the town and absolutely tio other information came with
the announcement of his death, save it occurred at 1:15. :
The immediate cause of his death was.a fall he sustained some weeks ago, from the
effects of which it was thought he partially, at least, recovered. He was 82 years old on
the 13th of last November and had not it been for the accident of a month ago, he might
have lived a number of years,
He had not been able to leave’home for over a year, but he could walk about. the
house without assistance, could read, and retained much of the power of his once vigorous
mind, :
The shock of the accident, more than actual physical injuries, seemed to impair his
hold upon life.
