triamph of Protection at the last presidential election, has chosen a strikingly
effective way of expressing his appreciation of the better state of things. A
dispatch to the Cincinnati CommercialTribune tells the story thus:

Nevada Cuunty’s Mineral Exhibit.
The exhibit committee of the Board
of Trade will hold a meeting tomorrow
evening at the office of the South Yuba
Company for the purpose of making
the preliminary arrangements to have
a display of Nevada county minerals
at the Golden Jubilee Fair to be held
in San Francisconext month. The Nevada County Miners Association will
be asked to co-operate with the Board
of Trade in this move, and the two organizations will apply to the Board of
Supervisors for a moderate appropriation with which to pay the expenses of
making the display.

Mrs. Joseph Lish of Blue Teit, with
her two sons and two daughters, will
leave tomorrow for Phenix, Arizona,
where Mrs. Lish has two sisters residing. Mr. Lish will remain here this
