Good music has been engaged for the joyous occasion, and unless all signs fail the big hall will be filled to overflowing when the grand march starts. ‘There are sixteen young ladies practicing every day for the minuet, which isto be. given at the big ball for the entertainment of those in attendance. Bridge — The city authorities are having the bridge re-planked and otherwise improved. The work was Commenced this morning, and the job will be gocd one, The carload of Bear river gravel donated to the city by Manager ©. P. Loughridge of the Narrow Gauge railroad has. been put jon the upper approach to the bridge. This is an excellent improvement, and it is greatly appreciated by all concerned, Manager 0. P, Loughridge of the Narrow Gauge railroad, is having more imprevements made at the depot grounds, The part of the track that crosses Adams street is being raised and a large quantity of Bear river gravel is being used on the grounds to good advantage. This gravel is woll adapted for road making and work of that kind, and it is being utilized to a considerable extent. Lefl a Fortune. New Yorn, December 16—According. to a decision handed down by Justice Lawrence in a suit. brought for the purpose of obtaining a constraction of the will of Oornelius Van Schaick Roosevelt, who died in New York in 1887, President Theodore Roosevelt, who is a nephew of the testator, will inherit a fortune of between $100,000 and $150,000. Kilied and Cremated Waeriina, W. Va., December 16—At Keyson today a Baltimore and Ohio passenger train crashed into the rear end of a freight train, killing Conductor J.P. Four citizeus gave chase, two going in one direction end two in another. They met on the cross-roads and each party mistook the other for the burglars and opened fire, Two of the party were filled with shot, but it is not thought their injuries will prove fatal. The burglars escaped. Fully Identified. Repwoop City, December 16—The bedy of Louie Decrouix, which was found in a boat near Milbrae on Friday, -has been fully identified by two of his brothers. They believe he was murdered and say there is another brother missing, who may Lave met the same fate.
