Besides this is the old waste dump, which probably contains 200,000 tons, out of which almost pure metal oozes, which after being run over scraps of old iror and’tin the metal is precipitated ‘in sluives, The precipitate imanufactured into the now celebrated metallic paint, which can be made so cheaply that manufacturers of paint in other parts of the country cannot compete with the Spenceville factory. Besides this, Mr. there the celebrated copper cement, who owns one-half . the metallid Woehler manufactures which is put up in 100-pound sacks and sold at $12.50 per sack. The red metal paint is ~put in barrels holding 400. pounds, There is a jarge warehouse filled wiih barrels of paint. Mr. Woehler also has his own cooper shop, where barrels are manufactured from Oregon pine, Healso has his own teams and hauls his goods'to Wheatland, the neardepot. All the best around Spenceville belong to the owners of the copper mine and paint works, and hundreds of tons of hay and clover are raised . annually.
