When the projectors of the Midwinter Fair made their first demand on the Southern Pacific for a suitable rate reduction from points on the cempany’s lme an“ arrangement was agreed upon that people the coast and interior towns desiring to take in the Fair were to be supplied with con, tinuous round-trip tickets that forbade a stop at any wayside station, and gave the. visitors only a ten-days’ stay, says the Examiner.
