A Wonderful Cure.
Ihave been suffering with the Catarrh
for over twenty years. Have had catarrh
of the stomach for over five years. Last
year had Gastric Catarrh of,the stomach in
its worst form, I also had the Intercostic
Neuralgia of the stomach and bowels from
which . suffered constantly and at times so
severely that it seemed I could not enduré
it, Medicine:failed to give me any relief;
my friends all thought I must die.
Less than four months ago I put on what
is known as the Magnetic. Conservative Garments, The piece I used was the piece that
covers the chest and lungs, both front and
back, body belt, insoles in my shoes and
used the Actina.for the catarrh.
I consider myself cured of the Catarrh
and in less than two weeks from the time I
put on the garments; the neuralgia was all
gone and I have not felt it any since.
I have procured garments for at. least a
dozen or nspre in Nevada City and all have
reported to me that they are constantly improving ; one patty in particular who has
been suffering from catarrh and kidney
trouble for the last twelve years. The
lower part of his limbs swelled badly and
he could not stand up more than an hour at
atime. Less than three months ago he put
on the chest and lung invigorator, body belt
and leggings and now he works all day at his
trade and his limbs do not swell at all.
I need not go before a Notary Public to
‘qualify to the above, as there are hundreds
that can testify to the truth of the above
statement,
I am agent-for the New York and London
Electric Association and anyone wishing a
pamphlet or any information regarding any
ailment they may have, will receive it free

HYDRAULIC MINING.

The Activity and Progress That Is Now
Being Shown in That Direction.
It is worthy of note that the California
Debris Commission at its last meeting gave
permits to mine by the hydraulic process to
eleven mining companies and permits were
granted to seven others to construct imAll these permits were
given at one meeting, which show that, notwithstanding the many objections to the
Caminetti it is working well,
many years before that act was passed
through the efforts of the California Miners’
Association, no hydraulic mines in the‘drainage basin of the San Joaquin and Sacralegally be worked.
Since the passage of the act over .100 of
these mines have commenced work and are
continuing it. Moreover, as the above statement shows, many others are preparing to
resume, operations. It is true that. the
miners cannot work as*they please, without

restriction as to the amount of gravel io be
washed or the disposal of their debris, but
it is equally true that no anti-debris association can interfere with them when they
are mining under a Government permit,
The Debris Commission, composed as it is
of United States engineer officers, 'is a éo1servative but just body. It will let no mine
operate unless all the requirements as to impounding tailings are complied with, but it
will let no prejudiced persons influence it
“against granting’ permits to mine by the
hydraulic process when it thinks such permits should be justly given, Accordingly
the mines aré-again gradually beginning to
work, and our aimual gold product from
this source is gradually beginning to increase. It is gratifying to-note that the
hydraulic mine owners have generally accepted the situation, though this
scarcely be said of those who had an interest in opposing them, Meantime the mines
are being worked and are producing. gold
without material injury to the navigable
streams or the lands adjacent to the banks,
For all of which the public have to thank
the California Miners’ Association, through
whose efforts Oongress came to the relief of
this State and enacted this law.—Charles
G, Yale.
