The Board of Trustees of the City of Nevada
do ordain as follows:
Section . . The fees of the City Marshal and
Policemen for all services performed in cases
arising out of t'e breech of any City Ordinance
shall be, where 4 fine js collected, the saine as
are allowed by law to Constables in criminal
cases for like services. ‘
8ction 2. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after the Tenth day of
January, 1895.

“An ordinance granting to JAMES D.
HAGUF, his successors and assigns the
right to place, erect and maintain poles, wires
and other conductors for the transmission of
electricity for power purposes and to lay a pipe
or conduit for the purpose of tranamit'ing wa er
for powcr from a poict in tae public highway
on the east boundary of the Empire Mine, in
township, county of Nevada;
thence westerly along the Ophir road to the east
line of the townsite of So.th Grass Valley and
to executors, the privilege of operating and
conducting said power line and pipe line. The
Board of Superyisors of the county of Nevada
do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The county of Nevada hereby
grants to JAMES DD. HAGUE, his successors and assigns, the right and pevilege
to place, lay, work maintain and operate on the
Ophir road from the east boundary of the Emire mine, westerly to the townsite of Grass
Valley, poles, wires and other conductors for
the transmission of electricity for power. pur
poses and a pipe line to conduct water for
power purposes.
Section 2. Sald wires or conductors shall be
stretched upon pares or other fixtures, abovo
ground, ina workmanlike and proper manner,
and in such amanner as not to interfere with
trav] upon said road, and said pipe line sliall
be placed in snch a manner as not to interfere
with the use of said highway by the public
SECTION 3. The said grantee or assigns may
make all necessary’ excavations in suit hich
way for the purpose of erecting and mainta)iing poles or other supports fr said wires or
conductors of répairing the same and for the
purpose of laying and maintaining said pipe
‘ine, and s id work shall be done in compli
ance with the necessary rules, regulations, ordinances or orders which may, during the concinuance ofthis franchise so be adopted trom

said county, and the same shall be done to the
satinfaction of the said Board of Supervisors,
SECTION 4. The rights, priviieges and fran
