The City of Nevada hereby grants to the Sunset Telephone and Te'égraph Co., its successors and assigns, the right and privilege to place, lay, erect, maintain and operate in the streets, alleys and puplie highways within said city, puies, wires ond other conductors for the transmission of eiectricity for telephone and telegraph purposes. are SECTION 2, Such wires or conductors shall be stretched upon poles or other fixtures above ground ia a workmanlike and prone’ manner; said poles shall be erected at the edge of the sidewalks in -aid City in a good and substantial m«nue: and shall be painted.
