As a mark of respect to John Tredinnick, formerly foreman of the Ohampion mine, and one of the most Sotive members of Nevada City lodge, Sons of St. George, that lodge held an open meeting last Saturday evening in bis honor, at which a large number of the order, including several from Grass Valley. were present. There were also a greater portion ofthe employes of the Champion mining company there as invited guests. During the evening Mr. Tredinnick was presented with a handsome gold watch and chain, the gift of the employees of the Ohampion Mining company, the presentation speech being made by Rev. Josiah Sims. In aqdepting the gift, Mr, Tredinnick thanked the givere fo a very feeling manner and stated thet he would always regard it as the most valued of his earthly possessions, A very interesting program was then rendered after which refreshments were Served and a good time enjoyed by all present. Mr. Tredinnick left yesterday for Wardner, Idaho,where he has accepted a responsible position with the Bunker dill & Sullivan Mining Oo.
