Lonpon, February 2—The greatest that thronged London was seen on crowd ever the streets today, on the occasion of the funeral of Queen Victoria, which took place this morning. Never before were there so many crowned heads rode in a procession. _ Immence throngs of people waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the coffin. The funeral train reached Victoria Station at 11 0’clock this forenoon. Royal personages followed, chiming bells and minute guns announced the starting o‘the procession. At 11:30 o’clock the procession passed through the principal streets, reaching Paddington’s Station at 1:30, and arrived at Windsor at 2:30. Burglar Was a Sacramentan: Sacramento, Feb. 1.—The Saocramento police have been notified by the Sen Francisco police that’the body of the burglar who was killed in that city a few nights ago by a barber named Hill has been identified as that of Sam Shannon, a former Sacramentan. He is a son of Sam Shannon, who lives at 622 in the alley,Q and R, Sixth and Seventh Streets. To Have a New Church. The Smartsville correspondent of the Marysville Appeal writes as follows: At the last M. E. Onarch quarterly eonference held a few days ego the question of a new church for this place was pretty thoroughly discussed and approved. In fact all were in favor of and some quite anxious for tie new edifice.
