A new gas main was being put in on Court street today. A special meeting of the Board of City Trustees will be held at the City Hall this evening. The regulating of water rates will be attended to. The Bon Ton orchestra of Graas Valley has been secured and an enjoyable time is assured to all who attend, Josephine O'Connor ‘of Grass Valley yesterday filed a petition asking for letters of administration on the estate of John A, O'Connor, deceased, Jones & Larue are attorneys for petitioner. The matter will be called in the Supe rior Court Monday, March 9th. A petition was filed with the County Glerk yesterday by Anna N. Cooper, guardian of the estates and persons of George W. Oooper and Frederick L. Cobdper, minor children, asking for permission to self certain real estate. The petition will be heard in the Superior Cour: Monday, March 80th, P. F. Simonds is the petitioner’s attorney. Slarts Up Again. The Gold Tunnel mine, after ‘a brief close down, has again resumed work. Operations were suspended on account of a slight break in the machinery, which bas been repaired. Prospects at the Gold Tunnel are looking excellent and everything points to thie piece of property coming to the fore as one of the leading gold producers of the State.
