Canada fil = Mines to Work. Almost every day of late some mining property in this district is being bonded. Yesterday four ledges on Canada Hill, known as the Santa Rosa elaims, and ewned by. William Floyd and Fred Searls, were the subject of an agreement between those gentlemen and W. H, Bray, supe:intendent of the Posey mine in Willow Valley, by which the three will develop the William Floyd. There is a tunnel about seventy-five feet in length on the mine, and this will be driven ahead probably 500 feet. It is expected to uncover the first ledge inside of 200 feet. There are three parallel and one cross ledge on the property, varying from one to fourteen feet. Tests that have been made of the ore gave good returns, and the property can be easily worked. The claim below the Santa Rosa is the 8t. Louis, owned by John T, Morgan and others, and is ander bond ta George Downey and others. There has been considerable work done on this property in past years, and some very rich rock taken out, Tho ledges are judged by mining men to be the same as run through the Santa Rosa ground and it is believed that these properties will develop into good producers.
