. office, Clinton W. Moffat, the Treasurer of the play house will have hig
right. eye removed. Blood poisoning
threatens the sight of both eyes. Last
Friday Moffat handled quantities of
old bills, and, while counting up, got
a@ speck of dust in one of his eyes,
After rubbing it, the eye became inflamed and in a short time pained him
go badly that he called in a physician.
The doctor called two other physicians
in consultation, and it was decided to
remove the right eye to save the left.
Remedies were applied to allay. the infiammation, and the operation will be
performed tomorrow.

complaint in any of ite various forms
and wishes to know what course to
pursue to get relief. It struck me
while reading a notice about the remedy that if it performed half what it
promised it might at least help me-out
of a difficulty which had annoyed me
far too long to be pleasant. There is
no use going into particalars about
backache or too frequent action of the
kidney secretions. Anyone suffering
from cither of these annoyances
knows juet exactly what they are, but
he does not know how to at first check

Women Hanged.
Lonpon, February 8—Amelia Sach
and Annie Walters, “baby farmers,”
were hangéd at Holloway jail today.
The women were recommended to
mercy on account of their sex, but the
Home Secretary was unable to grant
the reprieve usually accorded. The
women walked to the scaffold unaided
and displayed remarkable nerve. No
woman han been hanged in England
since March, 1900.
