Applications and petitions for the position of Horticultural Commissioner were received from James R. Vineyard, G. P, Hubie and Henry Walters. A vote was taken with the fellowing result: Buffington, Donnelly, Pridgeon, Roébinsén~ and -McPhetres voting, the pesition. On motion it was ordered that the compensation of Horticultural Commissioner be reduced from $200 to $100 per year, Buffington, Donnelly and McPhetres voting for the reduction and Pridgeon and Robinson against it. A petition having been received from the citizens of Grass ‘Valley asking that the road leading from the; Junction of the Nevada and Idaho roadssouth to the Crown Point mill and thence east to the lot of Geach in block 9 of Grass Valley townsite, be declared a county road, in accordance therewith the following Viewers were appointed ; C, E.
