An Italian named Victorio Guenza and
another countryman Were coming in from
Rush creek about dusk last evening. When,
they had reached a point near the small
building at the Knickerbocker gravel mine,
a short distance the other side of H. Grover’s
place, the seat of their cart broke and both
men were thrown out, the -horse getting
away from them and ruaning to town:
Guenza was hurt quite badly, so his friend
came to town after a horse and buggy.
When he ret@rned Guenza had disappeared,
After calling to him and hunting around he
discovered that the ipjured man had -fallen
gings, a distance of 60 or 70 feet, ‘The bank
isnot far from the road, and Guenza had
walked over the brink,
‘He was brought to town and Dr. Maller
summoned, An examination showed that
his skull had been slightly fractured on the
back of the head, and that his body and
limbs were severely. bruised, He also sustained internal injuries, Gugnza is in a
critical condition, bat he may recover,
