For the information of those who do not understand the system w will explain: One hundred tickets nambered from 1 to 100, are-placed in envelopes, and the person wislfing to buy one selects from the lot aiid pays _therefor as many cents as the number on the ticket. For example: If-the envelope he picks out contains ticket No. 19, he pays 19 cents; if it happens to be 100 he pays $1, which is the highest priced ticket in the lot. After the tiekets are all sold a drawing is held. Into a hat, box or other receptacle 100 duplicate tickets are placed. The first number drawn out determines the winner of the first prize, the holder of the corresponding ticket being entitled thereto. As many numbers are drawn out as there are prizes to be given, 4 The New Bridge. Captain George A. Nihell, who has the contract-to.put together and place in position the new iron bridge at the foot of Broad street, started the work yesterday and expects to get through by the last of the week. He has a crew of seven men working. The bridge will weigh 20,000 pounds, which is about 8,000 pounds heavier than the Main-street bridge. Everybody is anxious to see the bridge in place.
