Louis Moscardini, who has been suffering from bloodpoisoning and whose leg was amputated a few days ago on that account, died yesterday at 12:30 . o'clock p.m. The deceased was a resident of s county for twenty-five -years;and leaves a wife, four daugh, & son, two brothers and a sister to urn his loss. Condy. : The boys tendered a: serenade to Jobn Martin of the Bay Oounties Electric Company. After listening to the music he galled Leader Condy aside and said that he had traveled a great deal, but had never seen any musical organization of boys that could compare with the Stockton band. He said he wanted to treat the boys, and Leader Condy thought perbaps that meant icecream. He was taken considerably aback when Mr. Martin put bis hand into his pocket and handed Mr. Condy a twenty-dollar piese for the band. The boys were taken to visit the Obampion mine and got there just as sbifts were being changed. The Superintendent wanted to know if the boys would not play a piece as the men came up the shaft. The miners were working 2400 feet deep, and on ascending the shaft when they’ had with rheumatics, is able to be about] of the property of Mrs. George Allen. reached the 800-foot level the band started to play, and the miners on reaching the surface were surpriced and delighted.
