fine residence on Water Street (present Grove Street). We have noticed
some other buildings going up, though, on the whole, improvements are
rather slow in Nevada this year.
NI April 9, 1874 p2c2: James Colley has purchased the house and
lot of Charles Mead on Aristocracy Hill.
Colley, Mrs. Susan F. (Wild) DT May 10, 1876 p2c3: Death of Mrs. James
Colley. Yesterday morning a half-past eleven o'clock Mrs. Susan F.
Colley, wife of James Colley of this city, breathed her last at GV.
Mrs. Colley has been in ill-health for the past year, and eight months
since was taken to San Francisco, where she has since been under the
charge of skillful physicians. Mr. Colley thought it best to have her
brought home, and on Monday started and reached Colfax, where they
remained over night. They reach GV on the train, a carriage was
obtained, and they started for this city. Before they had proceeded
far it was found that death was near, and she was removed to a house,
where she died. Mrs. Colley was aged about 41 years and has lived in
this city for the past fourteen years. She leaves two young sons and a
devoted husband to mourn her loss.
